Itsuru was rubbing his temple with his two fingers trying to remember last week when Peishin said hakuda, hakuma... hakuma matata?
"Hakuma matata, it means "no worries" or are you refering to the cactus (hakuma), Nii-san? oh nope, now I remember, it's hand-to-hand combat" said Itsuru as he clicked his fingers on the 3rd attempt.
Itsuru seemed conserned about Peishin changing his mind about lessons, and seeing the Blue Gate Guardian.
"Nii-san, are you nucking futs? If you're gonna say he is going to be my sparing partner... I wonder how much insurance does a "comic relief" anime charater have?" Thought Itsuru.

It was quite obvious that Itsuru was worried about today's lesson. Peishin could have put him at ease but decided not to, stress and fear being some of the things every Shinigami needs to get used to feeling.
He turned towards the giant and bowed. "On guard, gatekeeper."
"Swords?"
"Fists," said Peishin.
"Alright."
The gatekeeper made claws of his hands, spread his feet, and hunched slightly. Peishin adopted a western-style boxing pose, left foot and hand forwards, right leg bent like a spring. He held his left hand at eye height, open and flat. His right hand he held near his cheek, formed into a fist.
"A moment, gatekeeper. This is a lesson after all, not a sparring session." Without taking his eyes from his massive opponent, Peishin called out to the student. "What do you notice, Itsuru? Tell me what you see."

Looking at Peishin and the Blue Stream Gate Keeper, their fighting styles are different he can see that, there is no weapons on sight so to him, hakuda is more "free-style" fighting.
"Itsuru-kun, the most important thing in ALL fighting styles is to never take your eyes off your opponent that way you can study his moves."
eventhough Peishin is still keeping his eyes on the gate guardian and not looking at him, Itsuru knew the anwser.
"you're not taking your eyes off "Big Blue", that way you can study his moves." answered Itsuru.

"Not bad," Peishin answered. "Always keep your enemy in sight. But there's more."
He straightened and extended his arm, palm flat, at the gatekeeper. The gatekeeper did the same. It was quite clear that the bigger Shinigami had a much longer reach than Peishin did.
"If I were to go toe-to-toe with him, I'd normally be at a disadvantage. You must assess the enemy himself, as well as his style and spiritual pressure. You have to win. Fighting well means nothing if you don't win, so you have to consider everything and, if you're at a disadvantage, do what you can to correct that."
The two Shinigami got into stance again.
"Now?" asked the guardian.
Peishin nodded. "Now."
The giant palm of the gatekeeper came shooting forward. Peishin slammed his left hand into his opponent's wrist, so the strike flew over his shoulder, and in a quick forward step brought himself close-to the gatekeeper's body. Already given momentum by his parry, he used that movement to swing his right fist round at the ribs.
The gatekeeper took the hit with a small grunt and brought his other hand down, aiming to use his weight and size to crush his opponent under him. Peishin however leaned back, brought his left hand in again and across his body, and brushed the attack far enough to one side that it thumped into the floor. The block threw him off balance, so he used his free right hand as a pivot and spun away from the close-quarters battle.
The two Shinigami faced each other once more, still in stance, holding each other's eyes.
"Tell me," Peishin said, "What did you see, Itsuru?"

Itsuru is starting to feel baffled about what Peishin is trying to make him notice.
"Too much to take in, what are you trying to show me Nii-san? Don't tell me the answer just yet, let me work this one out." said Itsuru.
Itsuru sat down and tried to recap what he saw.
--- OOC: I Hope you don't mind I'm adding music to this one it adds the mood, Nii-San. ---
- Big Blue was the first to attack. - Nii-san saw the attack so he had to parry - Big Blue is open to an attack - Nii-san aimed for Big Blue's ribs - Big Blue attacked again - Nii-san leaned back - Nii-san blocked - Big Blue slammed the floor (I felt the earth move) - Nii-san lost his balance (so he was on his knee) - Nii san recovered his balance by pushing himself
Itsuru done the play-by-play and Peishin needs an answer.
Itsuru he felt like he didn't know the answer and sighed.
"Sorry Nii-san, other then seeing Big blue on the offencive and you on the defencive... I'm drawing a blank here" replyed Itsuru.

"The point is, Itsuru-kun, that I made his reach count for nothing. I got inside his guard and hit him. If this was a real fight I'd have done a lot of damage and wouldn't have backed off so quickly."
Peishin bowed to the gatekeeper.
"Thanks, bud. We'll be going now."
He walked over to Itsuru and patted his shoulder. "Next week you're going to be fighting him, and I want to have you ready for it. This lesson's going to teach you to use the most important muscle in your body. Your brain."

The lesson was over Peishin and Itsuru went back to the academy gates, on the bright side, he didn't colapsed like last week, waving good-bye to Nii-san, he went to his room (Floor 2, last door to the left). Later in the evening Itsuru returned everything back in there rightful places, Koori Jun under his bed, his chunky black bag in his wardrobe (top shelf) his Asauchi behind his wash bin... but as he was about to put them behind his wash bin, he took his Asauchi "Cobalt Defender" out of his bag.
"I'm always scared to draw you, I just don't want to see people get hurt. If the academy issued ME to YOU, then we need to work together." said Itsuru trying to convince his Asauchi.
Itsuru sat on his hard bed his right hand holding the cobalt sheath and his left hand shacking while holding the hilt which is black with a blue strip in the middle. Itsuru closed his eyes trying to draw his sword. Itsuru needed to know... if it was fear so he couldn't draw it, or if it was physically impossible for him to do so. Still shacking and not using his arm which felt like Itsuru's arm is paralyzed trying to draw it.
"C'mon, if I can draw you, I'll discard that loaned asauchi, "Cobalt Offender" and if Koori Jun breaks, I'll use you from now on, OK why am I talking to a sword?" said Itsuru
Itsuru's left hand is trembling, he held his sheath tight Itsuru wanted to hear that "SHING" sound, he wants to see the light bouncing of his blade. but instead he is hearing his heartbeat and seeing nothing as he closed his eyes, Itsuru opened his eyes still in his room and his Asauchi in his hand.
"Why couldn't I do it?" thought Itsuru as he shed a tear, putting down his sword on his bed.
About 9:00 in the evening the moon and stars are out the sky was clear not a cloud in the sky it was praticly a warm night and most of the academy students are in there rooms with the lights on. Itsuru was looking out of the balcony trying to continplate what his Peishin-Nii said...
Leaning on the balcony, Itsuru felt like Peishin is wrong about the "important muscle in his body, the brain", he is also questioning his "spirit". Itsuru went back to his room to lay down on his bed tooking the photo of his friends, he looked at it in deep thought, like any other teenager does when he thinks.
"You're wrong Nii-san, the most important muscle in my body is the heart."
As Itsuru got out of bed he took his mobile ready to call Peishin, he saw Yakuru on his own, Itsuru puts down his moblie and remembered what Peishin said this morning...
Itsuru had to talk to him.
"Everytime I look at him, that used to be me" said Itsuru to himself.
Itsuru took Koori Jun and his Asauchi's, starting to prepare himself for a battle that he may lose to. Outside in the academy Itsuru met Yakuru.
"Hey Yakuru, we need to talk." asked Itsuru
"Humph, I don't want to talk you a loser like you." replied Yakuru.
"Hey, Don't turn your back at me, Yakuru!" shouted Itsuru.
Yakuru turned around glaring at Itsuru.
"Yakuru, Did you know what you have done this morning?, you not only attacked one of my friends and impersonated me while doing it! But you even put everybodies lives at risk."
Yakuru ignored Itsuru so Itsuru took Koori Jun and grabbed Yakuru's shoulder to turn him around and punched him on the cheek.
"You know Peishin could have killed you, you know? What if I wasn't there to save you, then what?" shouted Itsuru.
"If you felt the same way like he did then why don't YOU beat him to it."
"You know that's not in my nature to do that, Yakuru"
"Then how about you get on your knees and beg... maybe I'll let it slide"
"I'm not going to bow down to you this time Yakuru." rebelled Itsuru
"Then we fight one-on one then, why don't you defeat me with that Koori Jun of yours, lets find out which is stongest a sword or a shield." sneered Yakuru
"SHUT UP!" Shouted Itsuru.
A fight broke out in the Academy between the two rivals and it resulted in the first 15 minutes Koori Jun broke in thirds and the other 15 minutes Itsuru used his asauchi (undrawn), his basic spells Peishin taught him and his Zak Attack, both Itsuru and Yakuru passed out on the floor Itsuru tried to get up but he fell on his side.
--- OOC: I'm not going into full details who won or who lost it's a draw, ok? ---
The next day, Itsuru spent his weekend in Squad 4 for intensive care (Itsuru didn't want anyone to know what happened, not even Peishin) in the end the doctors tried to convince to tell them what happened, Itsuru pleaded not to tell the teachers or Peishin. When Itsuru went back the the academy on Monday, he needed to regain his stamina fast, Peishin needs him to be on his top condition, he is going to fight Big Blue.
Itsuru's room felt different eversince the fight between Itsuru and Yakuru. Yakuru broke Koori Jun, (it's 1/3 of it's normal side) mounted on a wall above his desk and not just the room is different, Itsuru was wearing a bandage on his right hand where his shield used to rest upon.

OOC:
i hadn't intended to finish the lesson there. i was just going to move us somewhere else. but, no matter. there's always next week, in RP time ^.^
just one thing about your post... you have Itsuru talking to his asauchi:
... but asauchi are soulless. they have no personality of their own. Itsuru is talking to a bit of metal. it can't hear him, has no mind to understand him, and can't respond. i suggest editing the post slightly, so that Itsuru is trying to convince himself, rather than the weapon.
----------
It was late evening and the sky was clear, the air crisp and cold. Peishin sat watching the moon, her silver face smiling down on the rooftops of Soul Society, and wondered what God loved her enough to make the stars her gift.
He sighed, his breath fogging in the air.
He'd heard of Itsuru's altercation with Yakuru. Of course he had, even in an organisation as large as the Court Guard rumour and gossip spread faster than flu. For a few moments he wondered if he should go visit the boy in the infirmary and give him a pep talk. No point, he decided.
After his initial anger, and hearing of the confrontation between the two students, Peishin had recalled his complaint to the detention squad. High spirits on all sides, he had explained to them, and, though they regarded him with suspicion, they agreed to let the offence slide.
Itsuru, you have the ability. Now you need confidence. Today was a good step forward.

Itsuru felt really guilty about leaving Peishin's lesson as he was about to teach Itsuru about using his head, he wasn't tired after all, he was focused on telling Yakuru.
It was early in the morning and Itsuru had trouble sleeping he woke up at 5:00. He got out of bed and got dressed he is now carrying his Asauchi and left the academy to go and see Peishin after all he could have been affected as well.
Walking slowly all he can think about was the attention he got from the other students (mostly good because let's face it Yakuru IS a bully.) He found himself in the 12th Squad. Itsuru felt uneasy about being here after all this is where they do experiments.
"I need to see Peishin, I came this far, so I can't back out, even if the captain looks like a toy and runs on batteries." thought Itsuru.
Itsuru asked one of the guards if Peishin is on his shift as the guard said no Itsuru requested to see him one of the members of squad 12 led Itsuru to Peishin's quarters. Looking around he felt scared of seeing these people and hearing the rumours from the older academy students about having drugs/injections seven times in one day, being fed somewhere that is not orally and worse... sleeping in their birthday suits.
"Ok, there smart people why should I be scared of them?"
Itsuru can invision living in his own horror movie. As the guard showed Itsuru the door to Peishin's room, Itsuru thanked him. Leaving Itsuru on his own by the front of the door.
"So this is where Peishin lives, well I thought he lives in a basement or something." thought Itsuru.
Itsuru turned his head away and knocked on the door with his bandaged right hand.

He opened his eyes.
There was a weight on his shoulder, a small, warm body pressed against his side. Gecko!, he thought wildly, trying to remember what had happened last night. Dark hair spilled from her head, tickling his arm. He could feel her breathing, the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she slept deeply.
Then it came back to him. We came back here, dried off, what next? We opened a fresh bottle of sake and had a few games of chess. Yeah, that's right. But did we...? Surely we didn't.
He glanced around the room and felt relief flood him in a cool wave.
Their clothes were stacked and folded neatly by the bed. No passion he'd ever known had begun like that. They hadn't done anything, he remembered now. It had started to rain heavily and they'd drunk too much, so he had invited Ginko to stay. Completely innocent.
Gently, slowly, he began to edge himself away from Ginko, who rolled onto her back and began to snore loudly.
He fought down his urge to laugh, and heard someone knock on the door.
Hmmm, this could look bad, he thought. But then, whoever's at the door will hear her snoring anyway. He grinned. They can probably hear her in the next building, come to think of it.
Pausing to cover Ginko with the sheets, and cover his modesty, Peishin answered the door.
"Oh, Itsuru-kun. What are you doing here?"

Itsuru was worried that Peishin is in his birthday suit still closing his eyes and rotating his head towards Peishin he gave him a hug he was listening to Peishin's heartbeat Itsuru opened his eyes.
"Peishin-Chichi, I don't know how to say this but..."
Itsuru let go of Peishin and he was ready to talk.
"Yakuru told me I missed part of your lesson about using my head, so I came to appologize, no wonder why I wasn't tired" laughed Itsuru.
As Itsuru mentioned Yakuru infront of Peishin, Itsuru had to defend him, he gave him that push he needed.
"Now, I know you can't forgive him, I can't forgive him but I trust him."
Itsuru felt like there is more burden in his chest he needs to release and he did told Peishin he was a father figure to him.
"I know you can see it but... those two weeks were very hard for me, learning to unlock my spirital protential, using my newly found abilites... I'm glad... I met you, Peishin-Nii, but i'm still upset you don't call me (Zak-Otouto) little brother."
Itsuru leaned towards Peishin giving him a hug again part of him says "He'll be here if I need him" but part of him says "I'm going to miss you Nii-san."
"After the 3rd week, I know I'll see less of you now, so I desided If I become a captain, will you be my lieutenant?
Itsuru smiled as he gave out he bandaged right arm to Peishin.

OOC:
doesn't "chichi" mean "breasts"? i'm sure it does, because there was a joke made about it in Dragonball when Son Goku met his wife for the first time.
-----
It took every ounce of his self control not to shake free of Itsuru's hug. Not wanting to hurt the boy he held himself still, even managed to pat his shoulder reassuringly, though he was afraid his face might betray his discomfort.
"No need to apologise, Itsuru-kun."
He listened to the boy talk and, when he had finished, watched him hold out his injured hand. The grin that burst onto his face was entirely spontaneous.
"If you become a captain, eh?" he chuckled. "You aim high, huh? Alright Itsuru, that's a deal."
Instead of shaking his hand, Peishin reached out and ruffled the boy's hair playfully.
"Why do you sound like you're saying goodbye, Itsuru-kun? Come on in," he said.
Peishin span on his heel then stopped suddenly. Turning back with an apologetic smile, he held up two fingers and began to slide the door shut.
"Give me two minutes, Itsuru-kun. I'd better wake Kanisawa-san and let her get dressed."

OOC: Oh, very funny. Dad! (never seen Dragonball) so Peishin, what does the scouter say on Itsuru's power level? (sorry the joke is over used). --- Itsuru entered Peishin's room he has never been in Nii-san's room before it seemed more roomy then his dorm (big enough to swing Peishin by his ponytail.) --- OOC: Let's put that to the test shall we? Itsuru takes Peishin by the ponytail "This is for MY Tintin-Kun haircut... Mitch! Zak Attack: Vortex Sabre! woo REVENGE!!!" --- "Oh, so you were having sex, drugs AND sausage rolls, were we?" laughed Itsuru. Itsuru was looking down where he was waiting for Peishin to wake up his "Lady Friend" Itsuru looked at the floor with both hands in his pockets. "It makes me miss, Melee-chan." sighed Itsuru.

OOC;
"it's over 9,000!"
gawd, i love dragonball ;D
---
Closing his eyes, Peishin felt the heat rising from his toes.
His heart fluttered in the flames, beating fiercely. The anger coloured his cheeks crimson-red. Moving to block Itsuru's line-of-sight to the sleeping Kanisawa, he crossed his arms and forced himself not to shout, spitting out his words through clenched teeth.
"Itsuru-kun, I asked you to wait outside."
He felt his jaw drop at Itsuru's "sex, drugs and sausage rolls" comment.
"Outside," he hissed. "Right now."
Not waiting for the boy to obey on his own, Peishin took him by the shoulder and firmly, but gently, evicted him. Sliding the door shut behind him, the Shinigami shook his head at the audacity of youth.
"Wait out there, Itsuru-san, while Kanisawa-san gets dressed."
He thought he heard a mumbled affirmative. Pushing himself away from the wall, he knelt by Ginko, reaching out to wake her. She turned as his hand moved to her shoulder and grinned at him playfully.
"You spoiled our menage," she giggled.
He didn't match her merriment. "You think I was too harsh with him?"
"Just a tad," she admitted.
"I don't think it's proper for people to see others like this, that's all," he muttered. "I'll apologise to him when you're dressed. Hopefully he'll understand. I didn't mean to lose my temper," he added, raising his voice in the hopes that Itsuru would hear. "But I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to my friends."
Chuckling, Ginko got up and started to dress. Peishin couldn't help watching her.
"What does it matter if he thinks we're lovers, Louh-kun?" she asked him.
He shook his head. "I don't suppose it matters at all, but it bothers me."
Ginko's wide smile became tinged with sadness, her eyes soft as they held Peishin's. He could tell there was much she wanted to say. In truth there was a lot he wished to say to her, but he wouldn't.
"I'm dressed," she said eventually.
Peishin nodded and slid the door open. "Okay, Itsuru-kun. I'm sorry I lost my temper, you can come in now if you want."
Standing to one side of the door, he beckoned Itsuru inside. Peishin's room was, in reality, no bigger than Itsuru's, but Peishin had less furniture. The room was bare except for the tatami mat, the bedsheets, a pile of stuff in the corner of the room, and Kanisawa Ginko cross-legged on the floor.
"Pleased to meet you, Itsuru-kun," she smiled a wide smile at him. "I'm Ginko."

"Itsuru-kun, I asked you to wait outside."
Felling the spit on his cheeks, Peishin's tone of voice made Itsuru froze like the first time he called Peishin-Senpei a "dumbass" resulted pulling his hair.
"Outside, Right now."
Itsuru is as stiff as a board he was really paralized he couldn't move, Peishin pushed him out, Itsuru felt like he was tossed aside like a rag doll. seeing Peishin shock his head at him.
"Wait out there, Itsuru-san, while Kanisawa-san gets dressed."
the door slid shut and Itsuru slid down from the wall, he took his bandaged arm and rested it on his knees. Itsuru did have a rough night with the deficiency of sleep for the last few days which made his brain disfuntional. Without Koori Jun, Itsuru feels like he isn't protected, all he has now is his Cobalt Asauchi by his his side. He poured out some skittles and chewed on them and started to have a drink of dnL.
Itsuru felt really guilty about "walking-in" on Peishin-Nii and saying "sex, drugs and sausage rolls" to him, he never noticed there was anyone else was there with him or has offended him.
"I feel such a bakajin, I guess you didn't want my innoscents to be corrupted, not like seeing my parents die when I was 8, sit tight you two, I promise I'll find you." thought Itsuru taking a huge gulp of his drink and looked at his snowflake charm.
He is thinking about the 4 days remaining until he battles Big Blue. (this is day one and Itsuru time is running out)
"But I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to my friends." Said Peishin.
Itsuru heard his voice though the door, Itsuru smiled and stood up again.
"Hey, I'm the young blood, but you got an old head on young shoulders, Nii-san." Said Itsuru hoping Peishin could hear that.
--- OOC: Man, I love Idioms (as Peishin uses advanced words I'll say Idioms) ---
As Peishin calmed down and invited Itsuru in his room properly, Itsuru needed to apologize too.
"Hey, you don't need to say you're sorry Peishin-Nii, I'm the one who should be sorry, lack of sleep and my brain is..." Itsuru formed a fist with his left hand by his ear and opened it "poof" and tilted his head to the right (pretty much saying "I'm brain dead").
"Pleased to meet you, Itsuru-kun, I'm Ginko."
Remembering about what Peishin said about being old-fashioned with his friends, Itsuru found it hard. Itsuru can slightly remember seeing her from somewhere before. Itsuru had to bow down infront of Miss Ginko and Peishin-Nii and ofcourse "Peishin's rule one... Respect those who are higher rank then you, THIS is an army."
"Erm... p-pleased to m-meet you too, M-Miss Ginko" Said Itsuru as he bowed down. (trying his best to avoid smiling and waving at her).
Itsuru got up and looked at the room properly, he thought you have more rooms (like a bathroom, a living room and a bedroom)
"I guess I'm not used to having a single room, I thought you seated people have 2 or 3 rooms." pouted Itsuru.
