Reading "That Hideous Strength" by C. S. Lewis
I'm sure you know that author. His "Space Trilogy" is earlier than the Chronicles of Narnia.

I've heard of the intestimable Lewis, but haven't read any of his works. He's on The List.
Started the Universe In A Nutshell. Disappointing so far.

*bump*
gave up on the Universe In A Nutshell, as the chapters i've read are all discussing what was discussed in A Brief History Of Time. i went out to a local bookshop today and bought fifteen books (for nine pounds, not bad!) and have started reading The War Of The Worlds by H.G.Wells.
War Of The Worlds was good, much better than i remembered it. on to A Pebble In The Sky by Isaac Asimov next.
A Pebble In The Sky (apparently his first sci-fi novel) was great, big fan of Asimov. after reading soul eater i had a picture of the main character being the screw-head doc (can't remember his name now). on to The First Men In Mars next, by H.G.Wells.
First Men In Mars was ok, not as good as War Of The Worlds.
Now reading both Dragonlance and King Lear (by Margaret Weis, and Shakespeare respectively). Dragonlance is a trilogy so I'm reading King Lear a little at a time in between books.
