"A good reversal," Takara told one pair.
To another she said, "Stop. You have the right motions, but you're not matching her spiritual pressure. It's essential to set up the block correctly or you'll end up hurt. Okay, go again." The two went through the exercise, and Takara nodded her satisfaction to them. "Good, keep at it."
One by one she visited each pair, observed them as they performed the hado and block, and either made corrections to their methods or praised their quick grasp of the basics of the move.
Having visited each pair once she made her way to Nakamura's right hand side, keeping her eyes on the lower seats.
"They're doing fine, Nakamura-taicho. The pair at the back there," she indicated two men, "are having a hard time matching their reiatsu, and there are a few lacking confidence, but overall they're doing well."
She viewed them for a few moments more before pointing to a man-woman team.
"Those two work well together," she told her captain. "He has more skill than she does, but her spiritual pressure is higher. Two to watch," she emphasised.
"Apart from that, they're doing well, all of them. I don't think we could have asked for a better bunch of twentieth-seats."

"Indeed we have trained them well. I'm proud to have them in 5th Squad!"
Nakamura called for the 20th seats to stop training.
"Now next time you have training with your subordinates I want you to use this technique. It'll help you feel the kido use of your trainee's and thus you can tell them more precicely how to improve." Nakamura said to them, then bowed slightly and finished with "Sayonara Nijyuuseki!"
The 20th seats bowed much lower than Nakamura (a sign of respect in japan) and she turned to the exit and made her way out. Again to keep up a formal air she simply said "Fukutaicho" singnaling Takara to leave with her.
She headed back to her office and sat down in her chair looking at the papers still in a mess on her desk. She tided them up and looked up to her Lieutenant. "Oh dear, I forgot about these. Nana-chan, Could you have someone deliver these to the Kido Corps please." She said holding up the filled out forms.

"I'll have someone take them," she replied.
Placing herself gently on the lip of the desk, so as not to disturb the untidily arrayed paperwork, Takara hugged her knees to her chest and sighed deeply. She shook her head at the state of the room.
"It's been a long day and it isn't even over yet. What's next on the agenda, taicho?"

"I Think we have earnt ourselves a Rest. All there is more paper work, which I'm sure will still get done after a cup of sake?"
Nakamura said to her Lieutenant, her face lighting up with one of her usual friendly smiles and her arm vaguely gestured in the direction of the Sake cuboard. She then looked down at the paper work before. Not the completed forms she'd done for the Kido Corps, but the many many forms she needed to do for 5th Squad debreifings and Mission Profiles and god knows what else she needed to write about to keep the Squad moving on.
On her subordinates desk (if she cared to look) was significantly less. A few forms from a mission and the 9th Squad Magazine article form for 5th contribution this month.
Nakamura looked up from the head ache waiting to happen that was her pile of work and simply said.
"I think I'm gunna need one or two just to get through this!"

She nodded.
"Well, your desk is much too full to drink there."
In a thoroughly businesslike fashion, as if performing a ceremony or prayer, Takara crossed the room and got out their tatami mat. After dropping that in place, in the square of light filtered through the blinds, she went to the side of the sake cabinet and pulled out a low table, depositing that on top of the mat, and once that was done she returned to the cupboard and took out a bottle and two glasses.
Takara placed those down gently and was about to ask her captain to be seated, but instead snapped her fingers loudly, clearly having remembered something. Before Nakamura could move from her desk she raided the cabinet once more and came back with three items; a bag of rice crackers and a two small bowls of dip.
Finally having arranged things to her satisfaction, Takara gestured for her captain to sit.
"I should take more of your load, Ai-chan," she said, still standing. "I'm bad at maths but you know how good my memory is. Would you like me to take care of the logistics reports? I could handle kido registration too, seeing as that's just filling out forms for the kido captain."

(ooc: sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was in large amounts of pain)
Nakamura smiled happily to her fukutaicho and knelt down by the small table.
She poured them drinks and raised her dish-like Japanese sake cup, saying to Takara in a cheerful tone.
"Kenpai*"
She drank her sake then replied to her Lieutenants earlier question.
"Now my dear Nana-chan, you know I'd never give you extra work." She looked over at the insane amount of forms on her desk and continued "However, if I am to finsh this without pulling another all-nighter then I may need your help."
She looked at the bottle of Sake and pondered another round.

Takara grinned in response. "Cheers."
The first drink, as always, tore down her throat and made her eyes water.
Nakamura poured another. This one went down smoother and she actually enjoyed it.
As the third drink was made ready she came up with a sly idea.
"Now, Ai-chan, don't be so quick to say no. You've been telling me for years that I need to think about my future, so if you think about it, sharing your work with me could be a form of training."
She lifted her sake cup and smiled at her captain.

Nakamura had decided to pour about 5 cups, hell she could probably drink 5 bottles and only feel tipsy. Her ability to hold her drink was legendary.
Takara put her idea to her Captain who smiled her friendly smile back and replied.
"I suppose you're right. Maybe you'll be Captain of a Squad someday."
Nakamura got up and went over to her desk handing her Lieutenant some of the papers from her desk.
"Ah this is gunna be boring if we just sit here in silence working... Questions time y'think?"
Nakamura paused for a bit then said.
"I got one for you. Since you just mentioned moving on if you were gunna be a Gotei 13 Squad Captain where would you like to go? Assuming of course I'm still here in 5th and one of the other squads needs a replacement."

Nodding, Takara took the offered papers and placed them on her right hand side. She'd look at them in a moment, after answering her captain's question.
She pursed her lips as she thought. "I dunno, Ai-chan. I haven't thought about leaving fifth squad much. I'm happy here serving under you."
Takara spun her sake cup in her hand, tipping it over and over with her fingers and thumb.
"I suppose if I had to move on, I'd choose... fourth squad. Those guys could use some backbone and besides, they're second only to our squad in terms of kido skill." She sat up suddenly. "Hey, there's an idea. Why not train Fuchida for fourth? I don't think even he could turn a healing spell into something explosive."

"I'm not giving up on Fuchida." Nakamura stated... then added as a bit of a joke. "And don't underestimate his ability to explode!"
The pair talked long into the night. Getting through a hefty chunk of the workload. Though Takara insisted that this night Nakamura get some sleep as she was still running off that energy pill from her All nighter!
Nakamura was sleeping late Takara decided not to wake her. It was about 1:30 when a Stealth Force messenger showed up directly in front of Takara.
"Takara-fukutaicho of 5th Squad. Arrancar have been spotted in the Real world! The Soutaicho himself has ordered that the Taicho and Fukutaicho of 5th Squad deal with the threat immediately. The kido Corps are ready and waiting at your Squad's Senkaimon!"

OCC: I'll leave it up to you exactaly what Takara was up to and where she was when he turns up... he just kinda appears in front of you the way they do!

It had been a beautiful morning.
She'd woken late and ordered breakfast. After wolfing that down she'd spent a relaxing hour in the bath, steaming out the beginnings of a headache before they could grow into a real pain. She'd dried and dressed and stepped outside, refreshed and ready to face the day, when suddenly fate took a crap in her lap.
With no need to lock her door she simply slid it shut with her foot, but the split-second in which she glanced to make sure it had closed properly was enough time for the Stealth Force Messenger to arrive.
"Crap!" she gasped on seeing him. "Make some noise when you move, damnit!"
"My apologies, Takara-fukutaicho, but I have an urgent message. Arrancar have been spotted in the Human world! The soutaicho himself has ordered that the Nakamura-taicho and Takara-fukutaicho of 5th Squad deal with the threat immediately. The Kido Corps are ready and waiting at your squad's senkaimon!"
Takara was stunned at the sudden turn in her previously pleasant day.
"This is confirmed?" she demanded.
"Yes, Takara-fukutaicho."
"It's too vague. How many? What classification?" She frowned at the messenger. "Go to the twelfth squad fukutaicho and tell him who sent you. I want numbers, disposition and as much other information as they can gather."
She paused while her mind raced.
"Once you're done there, return to the Soutaicho and tell him his orders were received and understood. Fifth squad is en route to the Human world."
"At once fukutaicho!"
Ignoring the messenger as he ran off, Takara popped back into her quarters to pick up Hachisenkami before running top speed for Ai-chan's accommodation. She had a very real feeling that today was going to turn out to be a very bad day indeed. She didn't stop once on her way to Nakamura, making a mental note on the way to apologise to fourth squad for knocking over their lieutenant in her haste.
Gasping for breath at Nakamura's door, she hammered the wood loudly to wake her captain.

Nakamura was out cold in her bed. If anyone could see her lying in her bed they'd assume she'd had one of her Parties. She had reached that deep stage of sleep that came from a night or two of depriving her body of rest and caused her to toss and turn like a maniac. She was currently lying with her head hanging off the bed along with an arm and a leg, her other leg was on the pillow where her head should be and her other arm was luckily clutching onto the covers just barely keeping her modesty.
There was a knock at the door, which initially just caused Nakamura to Twitch slightly. However the knocking persisted and got louder. This stirred her enough shout.
"wahsit... wuuuhyawunt?" The barely understandble speech was also followed by movement and Nakamura got up, still unconsciously clutching her duvet across her chest and made her way to the front door.
She opened it a skinted at the daylight pouring in and the distressed Lieutenant before her.
"N...Nana-chan?"

Starting to regain her breath, Takara ceased her knocking when she heard a noise from Nakamura's room. It was muffled through the door but it sounded a lot like; "Wahsit... wuuuhyawunt?"
The door opened. "Nakamura-taicho, I-"
She paused suddenly, noticing her captain's less than formal appearance. Her mind stuttered for a moment before getting back on track. Ignoring the fact that her direct superior wore nothing but a sheet to cover her modesty - and that was stretching the word with assets like hers - Takara informed her of the emergency orders.
"Nakamura-taicho, we have to go, now! Emergency orders from the head-captain, Arrancar in the Human world. Get dressed, bring Hibiki and be ready for trouble." She turned away from her captain and started making her way out. "I'll meet you at the senkaimon, Ai-chan, and have everybody ready for you."
Without another word, Takara ran off.

It did Take Namaura a second to catch up, but as soon as it did it was it was like a direct shot of Caffeine to the brain.
She immediately flash stepped back into her abode, actually dropping the duvet at the door, within the space of a minute she was fully dressed and looking as normally did with no signs of having just woken up. No one has any Idea how Nakamura can manage this, but when there is an emergency she won't let anything get in the way of her duty.
She closed her door and begain flash stepping her way to meet Takara. She noticed she was running assuming she was conserving her energy for the fight Nakamura decided to give her a lift. She grabbed her by the waist on the way to the Senkaimon.
She playfully said "This is no time to be dilly-dallying Nana-chan!"
They arrived at the Senkaimon, She placed Takara on her feet a pace or so behind herself to make it look like she'd used her Own shunpo to arrive. The 2 Kido Corps officiers opened the Senkaimon and 2 Hell butterfly flew down to meet the 2 Officers.
The Hell Butterfly for Takara was carrying the information she'd Requested so flew lower indicating it wanted to land on her finger.

Takara was running along at a decent trot, conserving her strength for the fight ahead. Ordinarily she would have use shunpo to get there quickly, especially if someone was watching, but a bad feeling in her gut told her she'd need all her strength for the battle.
She was yanked, quite literally, out of those thoughts.
"What the hell?" she cried.
"No time for dilly-dallying, Nana-chan," Nakamura chirped.
Takara was too shocked to protest as her captain lifted her off her feet and transported them both to the senkaimon, but she was unutterably relieved when Ai-chan put her on her own two feet before anyone saw them in such an undignified position. She fiercely fought down her embarrassment as they approached the prepared gate.
Good, everything's in order, Takara thought. Then she noticed the information-laden butterfly.
She held out her hand and it landed on her outstretched index finger. Bringing it up to her ear, she listened to its whispered information for a few moments. In actual fact she heard nothing, the data being transferred mentally, but she had never gotten used to that fact and still behaved as though she heard a tiny, papery voice when the butterfly 'spoke'.
Having learned what she needed to know she thanked it, noticing its wings flutter at the warmth of her breath, and let it fly once more.
"Nakamura-taicho, I requested extra information from twelfth squad but the Hell Butterfly has informed me they have nothing to tell us. Apparently they can't fix their location or classification, but they think there are three separate Arrancar at loose. We're practically going in blind."
Takara stared into her captain's eyes, her face stern and serious. "I should go through first."
